It’s not always rainbows and butterflies in Hollywood and the music industry. Sometimes, a storm erupts between the most famous, sending the rest of the world into a complete meltdown.
From rap king, Jay-Z vs sister-in-law Solange and besties Katy Perry vs Taylor Swift, we’re about to take a look back at some of the biggest celebrity feuds of all time…
1. Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West
The famous feud between Taylor and Kanye is definitely one to go down in history. It began at the 2009 VMA awards when the pop princess was accepting her award for Best Female Video. Kanye was quick to interrupt and say: “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”
The controversial pair made up and it looked like they were going to take over the world together until Yeezy released his 2016 track, Famous where he rapped, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bi**h famous.” Yikes!
Kanye said he and Taylor spoke for an hour and she gave her approval although her reps insisted that she wasn’t made aware of the full lyrics before agreeing to it. After much deliberation, an angry wife, Kim decided to step in and defend her husband by calling out Taylor for lying about her knowledge of the song (with proof of the recorded telephone conversation). The buzz around Kanye’s fight with Taylor eventually died down but the hatred still lingers strong to this very day.
2. Iggy Azalea vs. Snoop Dogg
Snoop shockingly took to Instagram in 2014 to openly diss Iggy by comparing her to the main character of the movie, White Chicks and a person with albinism. The female rapper replied via Twitter, writing, “Why would you post such a mean pic on insta?” and “I’m disappointed you’d be such an a** for no reason.”
This only gave potty-mouth Snoop ammunition to continually insult the rap star. After heaps of nasty Instagram posts and a video where he called the Aussie star a “fu**ing c**t,” the rapper later reached out on Instagram, saying “sorry” for his attacks.
As mention in our list of facts about Iggy, the rapstress used to be bullied for her looks in high school, so we felt really bad for her during Snoop’s attack.
3. Khloe Kardashian vs. Amber Rose
The Kardashians are renowned for their unbreakable family bond. In 2015, model Amber Rose dissed the youngest of the clan, Kylie Jenner by saying, “she’s a baby, she needs to go to bed at 7 o’clock and relax”. Khloe was then quick to jump on Twitter and take down the former stripper.
Amber fought back with “@khloekardashian I’m happy u brought up the fact that I was a stripper at 15….@khloekardashian I’ll be that lil whore to support my family like ur older sister is a whore 2 support hers,” dissing her sister Kim Kardashian.
This celebrity Twitter fight trended for days but it soon came to an end when Kim Kardashian and Amber took a notorious selfie together, putting the feud rumors to rest.
4. Nicki Minaj vs. Taylor Swift
Communication error 101! After not being nominated for Video of the Year in 2015, the queen of rap, Nicki took to Twitter to say that the show “celebrated women with very slim bodies” (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce and Mark Ronson were the four that bagged themselves a nomination).
Hot-headed Taylor wasn’t pleased and quickly shut down Nicki by tweeting “@NICKIMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot…”
Of course, Nicki Minaj’s beef didn’t end there with a trail of tweets flying back and forth. Weeks after, the pair buried the hatchet and performed together at the 2015 MTV VMAs. Swift later confirmed in an interview with NME that she “sends text messages now”. That’s probably a smart move, Swifty!
5. Miley Cyrus vs. Nicki Minaj
This celebrity fight is undeniably one of biggest jaw-dropping moments. After accepting her award at the 2015 MTV VMAs, the Anaconda star called out Miley Cyrus live on air by saying “And now, back to this bi**h that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press” she fired, before delivering one the biggest standout lines of 2015, “Miley, what’s good?” Cyrus fired back with: “Nicki, congratu-fu**ing-lations.”
Nicki Minaj decided to do this after Miley had labelled the rapstress “not too kind” in a New York Times interview – referring to Nicki’s Twitter tirade regarding the MTV Video of the Year nominations. Talk about celebrity drama!
6. Justin Bieber vs. Orlando Bloom
If we had to name two celebrities who don’t like each other, it’d certainly be these two. In July 2014, the Changes singer was almost punched by Orlando Bloom after provoking him about his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. This comes as no surprise after the pair were caught flirting at the Victoria Secret’s Fashion show in 2012, whilst she was still wed to dreamy Bloom.
The major bust-up which involved flying chairs and punches soon came to an end but that didn’t stop Bieber from stirring the pot even further. The troubled popstar posted pictures of Orlando crying on his Instagram account and even uploaded a photograph of Miranda in a bikini. Savage.
7. Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry
This pair went from mad love to bad blood in no time. After a love fest on social media for about a year, the two had fallen out because two backing dancers left Taylor’s Red tour to join Katy’s Prism tour. Taylor later revealed that Bad Blood was about another female singer who is a “straight-up enemy”.
From dating each other’s exes to calling one another a “Regina George in sheep’s clothing”, Taylor and Katy’s bad blood was still flowing strong years later. In what was one of Taylor’s scandalous moments, the star appeared to mimic Katy in her Look What You Made Me Do video, indicating how it all might have begun.
In 2019, however, all the years of beef was squashed when Katy appeared in Taylor’s You Need to Calm Down video.
8. Solange vs. Jay-Z
This was probably the most talked about piece of footage EVER! A shocking security video leaked in May 2014, showing Beyonce’s sister, Solange physically attacking Jay-Z in an elevator after the Met Gala.
The leaked video contained no sound which sent fans into a frenzy creating memes, scenarios and theories. It was reported that Solange “flipped out over something Jay said”. The truth has never been released about what went down in the elevator with the Carters that night. But according to several lyrics throughout Beyonce’s Lemonade album, it can be assumed that Jay cheated on Queen Bey, possibly triggering this celebrity debacle.
9. Chris Brown vs. Drake
When it comes to men fighting, the cause is usually a pretty lady, with one trying to up the other. This is too close to the truth with hip-hop stars Breezy and Drake. Back in June 2012, the pair were involved in a nasty brawl that left five people with minor injuries and Brown himself with a large cut on his chin.
The big bust-up reportedly started when Chris sent a bottle over to Drake’s table at a Manhattan nightclub. Drizzy was quick to send the bottle back with a note saying “I’m still Fu**ing Rihanna” – Harsh!
The two artists have now mended their broken bridges and even collaborated on music together!
10. Kylie & Khloe vs. Jordyn
When the story broke that Kylie’s BFF hooked up with her sister’s baby daddy, it was thought that this had to be false – a PR stunt to raise ratings on the Kardashian’s largely televised reality show. Sadly for the girls, this story was very much real.
At a house party, Jordyn Woods got a little too close to Tristan Thompson and ended up making out with him. This obviously destroyed her relationship with the family and she ended up falling out with her childhood bestie over her big mistake. Not only did it destroy her friendship, but also the relationship of Khloe and her boyfriend Tristan, who also had a newborn at the time.
Jordyn went on Jada Smith’s Red Table Talk to set the record straight by admitting to her mistake and saying that it’s not the reason why Khloe and Tristan split, but the mouthy Kardashian was having none of it. She took to Twitter to confirm that Jordyn and Tristan’s actions are the main cause for her heartache and failed relationship.
Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!

11. Sarah Jessica Parker vs. Kim Cattrall
We’ll start off by saying, SJP and Kim Cattrall are far from being Carrie and Samantha in real life. The Sex and the City stars have in fact, been at it like cat and dog over the years of filming the show.
While it’s not clear what caused the rift between the two ladies, what we do know is that Kim refused to participate in a third Sex and the City movie and in a 2018 interview, she called out SJP by saying, “I really think she could have been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is, I never have.”
12. Meek Mill vs. Drake
Drake’s beef with Meek Mill turned into such an extensive rap battle, it was as though we were reliving scenes from Eminem’s 8 Mile. It all began when Meek created a narrative that Drake didn’t write his own tracks. He later wrote a series of explosive tweets that grabbed even more Twitter attention.
In true Drake style, he laid-low until the Toronto rapper had enough of the abuse and released not one, but two diss tracks against Meek Mill. Back to Back featured the particular line, “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour” – taking aim at the rapper’s relationship with Nicki Minaj.

The pair continued to spat with lyrics until they both confessed in separate interviews in 2017 that they should have handled the beef differently. In 2018, they finally reconciled when Drake brought out Meek during his tour.
13. Chloe Grace Moretz vs. Kim Kardashian
Marked as Kim Kardashian’s most scandalous moments, the selfie queen posted nude snaps on social media but received a backlash of hatred from viewers. Actress, Chloe Grace Moretz decided to jump on the bandwagon to back up Bette Midler and took to Twitter to “slut-shame” and tell Kim “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies”.
Kim smartly undermined Chloe by biting back with “lets all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to Twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your nylon cover is cute boo.” Turns out the said “nylon cover” showed Moretz looking nearly naked, too. 10 points to Kim.
14. Rihanna vs. Chris Brown
This inseparable pair seemed crazy in love until reports flooded our screens showing a beaten and bruised Rihanna back in 2009. It was claimed that the lovers had got into a massive fight over Brown’s previous infidelities that happened early on in their relationship.
It wasn’t long before the star was arrested for physically assaulting the Fenty Beauty star. Although Rihanna forgave Chris and the duo even rekindled their relationship, they soon broke up again and nothing of their affair has been publicized since.
In his 2017 documentary Welcome to my Life, Chris revealed that he felt like a “monster” after reflecting on his relationship with RiRi; although she too beat him, he confessed to feeling disgusted that he laid his hands on a woman.
15. 50 Cent vs. Meek Mill
The 50 Cent and Meek Mill beef may have been a joke for some, but behind the scenes, we bet it was real sour – 50 even admitted that he wanted to “punch Meek”!
In 2016, Meek waged war with 50 Cent by mocking him in his song, Gave Em Hope. The rapper seemed to mock 50 for filing bankruptcy that year. Soon after, an Instagram meme battle ensued between the two rapstars which was funny for fans, but probably a little tough for the ‘jokesters’ themselves.
Eventually, the storm calmed, but in 2020, 50 brought up the beef again by openly admitting that he wanted to punch Meek during an interview. Following that, Meek tweeted suggesting that everyone is coming at him due to his success. Or maybe it’s because he threw a few stones in the fire to rile everyone up?!
16. Jennifer Lopez vs. Mariah Carey
Mariah has had a long-standing feud with Jennifer Lopez and finally revealed the reasons why in her memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey”. After she divorced Sony Music’s CEO Tommy Motolla, she suggests that he tried to sabotage her success, and used a sample from her song to make J.Lo’s I’m Real single with Ja Rule, whom she was supposed to collaborate with.
She goes as low to say that “she doesn’t know her” and won’t even refer to J.Lo with her real name. To us, it just sounds like J.Lo was caught up in a messy divorce which had nothing to do with her.
17. Dwayne Johnson vs. Vin Diesel
Fast and Furious 8 co-stars never saw eye-to-eye when it came to working together. Whilst filming The Fate of the Furious, Dwayne threw shade at Vin without naming names on a now-deleted Instagram post by calling him an unprofessional “candy a**”:
“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars, however, are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a***.”
This obviously led to the two actors butting heads, but a couple days later, Dwayne Instagrammed a more positive post about their friendship. Years later, The Rock let bygones be bygones and confirmed that he has no ill feelings towards his former co-star.
18. Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B
The infamous Nicki Minaj and Cardi B beef started long before the shoe-to-the-head incident at the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party. Cardi had been throwing shade at the Barbie rapper for some time after suggesting that Nicki had been making digs at her – specifically about her mothering skills.
It all got a little heated and physical when Cardi confronted Nicki at the fashion event. Following Cardi throwing her shoe at Nicki, she was escorted out of the premises and took to Instagram to address the issue by saying “When you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all betts are fu**ing off!!”.
Nicki denied cussing Cardi’s parenting and revealed on her radio show that she was “mortified” and “humiliated” after the altercation.
19. Pusha T vs. Drake
This celebrity feud began in 2010 when yet another rapper, Pusha T accused Drake of using a ghostwriter, but it didn’t end there. In 2018, Pusha T released his track The Story of Adidon mentioning Drake’s “secret son Adonis”, which later turned out to be true.
Pusha T continued the beef by finding an image of Drake painted with a black face and shared it for all to see. After having enough, Drake explained that this image was taken when he was an actor working on a project that raised awareness of racism and stereotypes.
Please stop referring to this picture as “artwork”…I’m not an internet baby, I don’t edit images…this is a REAL picture…these are his truths, see for yourself https://t.co/gd6vRS3HM8 pic.twitter.com/2el58HEZ8F

20. Blac Chyna vs. Rob Kardashian
Kardashian fans were skeptical when Robert Kardashian got engaged to Blac Chyna and announced they had a baby on the way – and they were right! Shortly after the birth of their daughter Dream, their relationship turned sour.
After Blac Chyna sent Rob videos of herself cheating on him with another man, he took to social media to reveal the weight loss surgery he paid for after the birth of their daughter. She then accused him of beating her up and the relationship ended up in court with child support, restraining orders and custody battles.
The feud finally came to an end with the parents agreeing to have joint custody over their daughter, and Blac Chyna even admitted that Rob is a good dad to their baby.
21. Azealia Banks vs. Lana Del Rey
Azealia took a break from arguing with a long list of celebs and focused on her next suspect – Lana Del Rey. The rapper attacked the singer in 2018 by commenting on her physical appearance and making crude suggestions of how she could improve it.
Lana was having none of it and tweeted Azealia telling her that she knows where her address is and to pull up any time and say it to her face, but threatened that if she was her, she wouldn’t. She also said she’d recommend her surgeon’s number along with a psychiatrist because her “meds clearly weren’t working”.
Obviously, Azealia didn’t let it end there, after more digs, she threatened to sue Lana for her threats although the singer said it wasn’t a threat, but a promise. After that, Lana has laid low on social media since she’d already had legal battles in recent years. We’re pretty sure more will come from this in a few years.
22. Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey
Nicki and Mariah’s time on the American Idol panel turned into a battle of the divas. The pair started arguing from the audition stage and Minaj exclaimed that she’s not putting up with her “f**king highness over there”. Mariah had apparently been saying that Nicki couldn’t sing and therefore shouldn’t be a judge on the show.
Tensions ran high when Nicki was caught on video cussing Mariah. The Heartbreaker singer then claimed that Nicki threatened her with a gun and hired extra security as she didn’t want to take any chances.
Once the live shows aired, the celebrities seemed to get on just fine and even worked well together – unless it was all for show.
23. Amanda Bynes vs. Rihanna
This particular feud may have been rather random, but it was certainly catty to say the least. Back in 2013, former Nickelodeon star, Amanda Bynes attacked Rihanna on Twitter with a series of insulting tweets.
Harsh comments came out of the blue from the actress which included words like “@rihanna Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.” and “No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna”.
Although Amanda deleted these distasteful tweets, Rihanna fired back by tweeting “Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?”, referring to Amanda’s constant battle with drug abuse. Ouch.
24. Kanye West vs. Jennifer Aniston
Kanye West butted heads with another female celebrity – and this time it was over the 2020 elections! Jennifer has been very vocal about the U.S. election and criticized Kanye’s attempt at running for presidency by saying, “It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.”
Naturally, this didn’t go down well with Kanye, who fought back saying “Friends wasn’t funny either!” – which he later deleted. He probably realized that he would get hurled with abuse from millions of Friends fans across the globe.
From lover’s fights, bar brawls and Twitter spats, these popular celebs show us that they too are human and get into major misunderstandings – the difference is that they don’t seem to kiss and make-up very easily.
